Review: Balance

Balance by Lucia Franco My rating: 5 of 5 stars OH MY GAWD! This was sooooo amazing! I absolutely loved Kova. He's the kind of hero we hate to love but couldn't help falling for! The plot was absolutely fantastic! I love forbidden romances and by far this one's my favorite. Lucia Franco is a genius. Can't wait to read the next book! View all my reviews

Review: Twist

Twist by Lucia Franco My rating: 5 of 5 stars OH MY GAWD! What was this? I mean seriously, I am knocked off my feet. Lucia Franco, I'm officially in love with you. [image error] Kova and Ria's story is continued in the fourth book and it's going better than ever. I don't think I've enjoyed any book this much in a while. The plot is amazing, the characters lovable and it's hot...And I'll spell it for you....HAWT! Skipping my sleep, I finished this one overnight because I couldn't just put this down. (At one point I was threatened by my sibling to be reported to the mental asylum because of the cry I gave out when it all ended with a freaking cliffy!) Desperately... And I mean DESPERATELY waiting for the next book! View all my reviews

Review: Hearts of Darkness

Hearts of Darkness by Catherine Wiltcher My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book is amazing! I loved Dante Santiago! He's the perfect anti-hero character, so dark and daring! And hot. And sexy... Did I say hot already? The plot was wonderful. The female protagonist Eve Miller was very likeable and exactly the type of heroine I adore. Congratulations to the author for such a wonderful job! Review: Just One Year

Just One Year by Penelope Ward My rating: 4 of 5 stars 3.5 stars I figured that this review was long overdue so here it is. Like I said before, I didn't even read the blurb before buying this book. All I saw was - new release, Penelope Ward and a hot cover, and I was a goner. What bugs me most is that I don't even know why I didn't I like this book so much. This is not the first book by Penelope I've read. I'm well aware of her epic writing style and seriously, I figuratively salivate for more from her. Roomhate, Stepbrother dearest, Neighbor dearest, Sins of Sevin, you name it, I've read it. And I loved them all too! The story starts with a sophomore year student, Teagen meeting with a freshman, foreign exchange student Caleb. Their first meeting had me laughing my ass off! Events unfold and before we know Caleb and Teagen are roommates. Caleb is a Brit with a charming personality. I loved his POV's. He has some issues ba

Review: Angry God

Angry God by L.J. Shen My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 stars Boy,This was intense! But honestly, what more could you expect from Vicious' spawn? This is the third book in the All Saint's High series and one of the most anticipated books of 2020, because come-on... It's L.J Shen! Vaughn Spencer is the child of Vicious and Emilia, our primary characters from the book one of Sinners of the Saint series and before proceeding to talk about Angry God , I gotta say that Vicious was absolutely outstanding and one of my most favorite book of all time! Followed closely by Sparrow (The things my heart does at the mere mention of Troy Brennan....) Anyways, I liked this book, the storyline was amazing. What stole that one star from it was the execution. This was like Vicious rebooted but only not that good. I couldn't help but compare both the books at some point reminding myself that Vicious too bullied Emilia because he thought she'd heard so

Review: I Dare You

I Dare You by Shantel Tessier My rating: 4 of 5 stars 4 stars I dare you to read this book! Oh god! This was intense. It promised dark and delivered it. This was the first book of Shantel Tessier that I've read and I'm impressed. The content was novel and nothing like I've ever read before. Cole Reynolds aka Shark is the leader of the group GWS i.e., Great White Sharks which is a group of five friends (eight formerly). They've known each other since they were children and play the game of I dare you . If you think the game is as simple as it sounds, then you're sorely mistaken. The book starts with Austin Lowes witnessing the murder of a man by five people at a cemetery in a hill not far away from her house where she'd just moved in. That was her first encounter with the mighty Cole Reynolds...and then the story begins. Murder, bullying, lies, deceptions and betrayal are the highlights of the story and the plot was absolute

Review: Hearts Divine

Hearts Divine by Catherine Wiltcher My rating: 5 of 5 stars WOAH! WOAH! WOAH! WOAH! This is my first reaction after finishing this. WOAH! HEARTS DIVINE is the second book in The Santiago Trilogy and it is absolutely divine View all my reviews

Review: This is War, Baby

This is War, Baby by K. Webster My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5 stars I loved it! This was my first book by K. Webster and it was totally smashing. I loved the protagonist Baylee and War... War has my heart!! The story line was amazing. The author promised and DELIVERED dark! I was a bit apprehensive that this too will turn into a typical Stockholm syndrome book and almost jumped with joy when the second part of the book started! View all my reviews

Review: Marked for Darkness

Marked for Darkness by Raven Woodward My rating: 5 of 5 stars *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.* I don't even know where to begin...but let's just start with that this book was freaking AAAAMMAAZZZIIINNNGGG!!! Woah! I power-read the book through the entire night! This was the first paranormal that I've read in years, but it was amazing just the same. I loved Harlow and totally adored Arian (or Dominicus as we put it). The antagonist were intriguing. I like Onoliza as much as an evil villain should be liked. The character of Rex was a bit of surprise, but I would love to see more of him. Congratulations to the author on such a wonderful job. View all my reviews

Review: Twisted Betrayal

Twisted Betrayal by Siobhan Davis My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5 stars Impressive again! I've said it before and I'll say it again - Siobhan Davis is exceptionally talented and I love everything she writes and this book was no different. Again, there will be no major spoilers but proceed with caution. The story kicks off right from where Cruel Intentions ended. Abby is doped up in a hospital unaware of her surroundings but it's not long before she wakes lucid and the drama begins. Camden/Kaiden's life is in danger because of the hit called on him by Michael Hearst, Abby's father. Talk about villains, Michael still isn't the worst I've encounterd but he's a close second. The story unfolds further and all the truths and lies storm in and punch Abby to the ground but the thing I admired most about her was her resilience. She's a badass, both literally and figuratively. I loved Drew and how protective he was of Abby and I

Review: Pennies

Pennies by Pepper Winters My rating: 5 of 5 stars ! 10 stars!!! I can't believe that I did not read this book before! I'm blown away! This was my first book by Pepper Winters and I'm glad to say that it will not be the last. The writing style had me hooked right from the beginning and didn't let go until I'd finished it and then demanded for more. I guess I'm lucky that all the books of this series are already out because I don't think I could have handled not knowing what happens next. The story is of a girl, Tasmin later renamed Pimloco, who was a psychology student in her earlier life but was abducted and sold in sex trafficking. Pepper Winters takes us to the horrors of that world. The helplessness, the self destructive capability and all the pain had me in knots throughout the whole book. This book was the very definition of dark . Most of the book focuses on the one night Pim spent with Elder Prest which is the tur

Review: Stolen Lies

Stolen Lies by K. Webster My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5++stars! I absolutely loved this! OMG! Let me gather my thoughts first... Okay! So here we go! Stolen Lies is the second installation of the Truths and Lies duet and the perfect conclusion to the story of Kostas and Talia. The last book, Hidden Truths ended with the cliffhanger and this one starts with a time gap of one year after that. I don't know how to write something about this without giving away the plot but I'll try my best. Talia is missing and Kostas is going crazy over the fact that he can't find her. In the previous book, we were given hints to Talia's pregnancy and those who guessed in the affirmative were right. It ought to complicates things, doesn't it? Well, it totally does! With Talia missing and Kostas hitting rock bottom, a person wishes to overtake his empire but dun..Dun.. Dun.. There's a twist which I'm not going to elaborate. You've got to read

Review: This is Love, Baby

This is Love, Baby by K. Webster My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5++ stars I loved it!! Seriously, I just can't describe how much I'm loving this series! I finished this in one go, because once I started, I couldn't just put it down. It was totally rocking! This is Love,Baby is the second installation to Baylee and War's story and I couldn't get enough of it! This was the HEA I was waiting for the couple to have. I was so infatuated by the Bad boys, asshole heroes that I forgot that the good one's are amazing too! Somehow, War survived the shot by Gabe and ended up in a hospital rather than the graveyard. Baylee was once again stolen by Gabe, but she escaped him only to be stolen by Brandon. What next happens is no less than a shock. I never knew the plot would turn out like that but you're not hearing me complain. All in all, I enjoyed it immensely and would like to know what happens next! Keep 'em comin'!!

Review: Steel Princess

Steel Princess by Rina Kent My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5++ stars Oh my god! This book starts right from where DEVIANT KING ended and it was FAB! I enjoyed it as much as the first book if not more. Secrets are disclosed as Elsa's past clashes with the present and as always, it revolves around Aiden King. There was drama, romance and amazing sex timing. And not to mention Ronan! I loved the second installation! View all my reviews

Review: Deviant King

Deviant King by Rina Kent My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5++ stars There is only one way to spell this book and that is AMAZING! I went for this book randomly and I'm pleased to say that it made to my favorite's list. The storyline was amazing. Aiden King *swoon* was the perfect anti hero. His unapologetic personality and confidence swept me off my feet! I loved him! Elsa was also the perfect heroine. She was resilient and smart and could hold her ground in pretty much every situation. I liked the other boys -Xander, Cole and Ronan. Well, Ronan a bit more than the others. (They all have HERO tattooed on their forehead) I do not want to give any spoilers but *gush* This was PERFECT! Will I read the next book? - YESS! Will I read other books from the author? - Yes again. View all my reviews

Review: Hearts On Fire

Hearts On Fire by Catherine Wiltcher My rating: 5 of 5 stars 10 stars NOOOO! This book is the perfect example of "ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO END!" Catherine Wiltcher......I...I... ... ... ... ... I'M NAMING MY FIRSTBORN AFTER YOU! GODDAMMIITTT!!! I HATE you! I hate the shit out of you for giving me a book hangover!!!! I put this book on hiatus for a long while precisely because I wouldn't have to go through what I'm going through right now! Somehow.... I knew Hearts on Fire was going to damage me. This book broke my heart and then super glued it together before taking a hammer to it again! I loved Dante Santiago and I don't know how I'm going to get over him. It goes without saying that the plot was smashing! Desperately waiting for Grayson! *Still hating you, Wiltcher (mean eyes)* View all my reviews

Review: Pretty Reckless

Pretty Reckless by L.J. Shen My rating: 5 of 5 stars 10 stars OH MY MARX!!!! Holy freakin' shit! I loved it so much that I'll be fangirling the whole review! I'd actually bought this book as soon as it was released but didn't start on it cuz....Dun.. dun.. dun.. I'm an idiot! I really am! I was browsing Amazon and when I saw a new title by L.J.Shen... Boom-da-fucking-boom! I bought it without even reading the blurb and when I scoured it on GR to actually read the synopsis.. I was deflated. Sue me for stereotyping but at that time, I felt as though I've had my fill of stepbrother romances in general. Back to the point where I'm an idiot, because I underestimated Shen's capability to totally rock it! This is a Sinners of Saint series spin-off featuring the characters kids and it is mind blowing! Daria Followhill is a rich girl who has it all except her mother's attention. She meets Penn Scully at 14 not knowing who

Review: Sweet Retribution

Sweet Retribution by Siobhan Davis My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5++ stars Oh the drama killed me! Needless to say, I loved this book more than it's predecessors! There Will be no major spoilers but proceed with caution. The story starts right from where Twisted Betrayal ended. Abby is forced to marry Charlie but we learn she is already married to Kai in the previous books. The timeline confused me a little but it wasn't something major so I let it slide. Secrets after secrets unfold until it muddled so much in my head that I had to stop for a moment and align my thoughts before continuing. (That's what happens when you pull an all nighter for the story, but in my defence - I just couldn't put it down). It is very difficult to write without going into details and I don't want to slip something major because trust me, it would be better if it's read on your own pace. Again I loved Kaiden and Abby! And they totally deserved the HEA t

Review: Cruel Intentions

Cruel Intentions by Siobhan Davis My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5++ stars Amazing read! This book has been on my wish list for so long, I couldn't believe I was actually reading it until a few chapters. *fangirling* So..where to start..Ugh! I loved this! I'm going to keep this short, simple and devoid of any major spoilers but there still be some mild one's so proceed with caution. The story starts with Abby, our female protagonist trying to commit suicide when a handsome stranger dives in to rescue and proceeds to make passionate love to her in a fireplace lit cabin. (Now you can get why this book had me on the prologue) View all my reviews
